MISHAWAKA - Shirley D. Brown, 60, of 313 E. Broadway St., died at 7 a.m. today in her home after an illness. Mrs. Brown was born Nov. 25, 1934, in South Bend.

On July 11, 1953, in South Bend, as Shirley D. Singleton, she married Norman G. Brown Sr. He survives with four daughters, Janice M. Brown of South Bend, Barbara McCann of Granger, Peggy Reeder of Osceola, and Tina Brown of Mishawaka; two sons, Norman G. Jr. and Charles L., both of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren; five sisters, Ruby Jones of Edwardsburg, Dorothy Grenert, Delores Helfman, and Clara Riggs, all of South Bend, and Rose Marie Grenert of Mishawaka; and six brothers, Charles Singleton of Dowagiac, Ronald M. Singleton, Jack R. Singleton, and William V. Singleton, all of South Bend, Edward E. Singleton of Cassopolis, and Walter L. Singleton of Lebanon, Tenn.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
