OSCEOLA - Phillip Allen Brown, 60, of Osceola, passed away on
Sunday, April 11, 2010, after an automobile accident. He was born
on July 17, 1949, in South Bend, to William and Gertrude Brown.
Phillip graduated from Central High School in 1967. On June 24,
1971, he married Cynthia "Cindy" (Buczkowski), who
survives. Also surviving are his children, Elizabeth (Kerry) Day
and Bruce (Mindy) Brown, both of Mishawaka; his beloved
granddaughter, Brittney Day; his parents; a sister, Chris (Al)
Opsahl of Indianapolis, IN; and a brother, Billy (Jeannie) Brown
of Spring Valley, CA. Mr. Brown was employed at Ave Maria Press
for 43 years, first in bindery and then as head pressman. He was
a member of the Studebaker National Museum Board of Directors,
The Pioneer Auto Association Car Club, the American Legion and
Teamsters Local #364. Phillilp was a beloved husband, father,
grandpa, son and brother, and will be dearly missed! Visitation
will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in the
Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Funeral
services for Phillip will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the
funeral home, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, South
Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to S.N.M. or to the
