Mrs. Lucinda M. Brown, age 85, of 1142 Lincoln Way East, died at 3:30 PM Monday in her home after several years illness.  She was born in Louisville, Ohio, June 10, 1853, and came here seventy five years ago from that city.  She was married here in 1878 to George M. Brown, who died last February 22.  Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Walter Good, Gary, Indiana; Mrs. Leo J. Wills and Mrs. Matt Williams and Miss Pearl Brown, this city; five grandchildren and three sisters, Miss Rebecca Folk, South Bend; Mrs. Ella Mangus, Lakeville, this county and Mrs. Clara Kreighbaum, Long Beach, California.  Friends will be received in the L. H. Orvis Chapel after 7:30 PM today and the funeral will take place in the Chapel at 2 PM Thursday.  Rev. J. Emma Johnson of the first Reformed Church, Gary, will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
