SOUTH BEND - James V. Brown, 90, of Monticello (Ind.) Health Care Center, formerly of Parkway Avenue, died Dec. 28 in White County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Brown retired from Torrington Co., South Bend. He was born Oct. 17, 1903, in Marshall, Mo., moving here in 1966.

On March 22, 1930, he married Anna A. Bali. She died Nov. 4, 1976. Surviving are nieces and nephews. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, South Bend, and Fraternal Order of Police, South Bend, and was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus, South Bend. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. Services were at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Burial was in Riverview IOOF Cemetery.
