SOUTH BEND - Richard J. Brothers, 58, of Mays Drive, died at 8:48 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Brothers was a systems analyst in the computer center of Associates Corp. for 37 years. He was born July 6, 1936, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 23, 1957, in South Bend, he married Nancy A. Graney. She survives with a daughter, Linda M. Diltz of Granger; two sons, Kenneth M. of South Bend and Thomas J. of Bloomington, Ill.; a grandchild; and three sisters, Rosemary Belakovich and Katherine Berger, both of South Bend, and Sister M. Elaine Brothers of Fort Wayne. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in McGann Funeral Home, 21275 W. Cleveland Road, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

SOUTH BEND - Services for Richard J. Brothers, 58, of Mays Drive, who died at 8:48 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of an apparent heart attack while driving on Douglas Road, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in McGann Funeral Home, 21275 W. Cleveland Road, where a parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Survivors include two brothers, William of Leesburg, Fla., and John of South Bend.
