OSCEOLA - Theodore M. "Ted" Broskey, 64, of Osceola,
passed away Monday morning, February 1, 2010, in his home
surrounded by his family. Ted was born August 2, 1945, in
Uniontown, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Louis and Norma
(Sifton) Broskey. He graduated from Uniontown High School in
1962. Ted lived in Keisterville, Pennsylvania, until moving to
South Bend in 1962. In 1974 he moved to Mishawaka, and to Osceola
in 1979. Ted was employed with Clyde E. Williams & Associates
in South Bend for 42 years. He also worked for Monaco Coach in
Wakarusa and retired from Williams Aerial Mapping in South Bend.
Ted had a great passion for music. He was a full-time guitar
player for many bands, too numerous to mention. Most recently Ted
played with Back to Basics, Jeff Roberts and Friends and the
Tommy Miller Band. He was an active member of the Moose #599 in
Elkhart. On July 27, 1985, Ted married Barbara (Dobkins) Graham
in Friendsville, Maryland. The couple renewed their vows three
times in the Smokey Mountains, Alaska and Hawaii. Ted's surviving
family includes his wife, Barb; three children, Michelle L. (Roy,
Jr.) Randolph of Smock, Pennsylvania, Theodore L. (Junell)
Broskey of Granger and Timothy D. (Jayne) Graham of South Bend;
11 grandchildren, Theo, Stephanie, Shelby, Miranda, Quinn,
Zachary, Emily, Hannah, Abby, Ashley and Kaiden; his
mother-in-law, Margaret Dobkins; a sister-in-law, Marlene
Broskey; a brother-in-law, Devon Grenert; special cousins, Barry
and Donna Mortichesky; many nieces and nephews, and Ted was
blessed with many close friends. Ted was preceded in death by a
son, Scott A. Schaeffer; a brother, Peter Broskey; and by a
sister, Linda Grenert. Friends may spend time with Ted's family
Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Thallemer,
Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 West Third Street,
Mishawaka. Services celebrating Ted's life will be held Saturday
at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Contributions in Ted's memory may be
made to Elkhart Moose Lodge #599. Envelopes will be available at
