MISHAWAKA - Edgar M. Broshears, 82, of Mishawaka, died
Monday, March 17, 2008, in Memorial Hospital. He was born in
Evansville, Indiana, on March 25, 1925, to James and Gertie (Gentry)
Broshears, who preceded him in death. Ed is survived by his
longtime companion, Nancy Hammond of Mishawaka; three
stepdaughters, Cheryl (Chris) Uselton of Mishawaka, Pam
(Mike) Griffin of South Bend and Kim (Josh) Hoffman
of Mishawaka; three stepsons, Rick (Jackie) Hammond of Mishawaka,
Ken Hammond of South Bend and Ronnie Hammond of Florida; and a
sister, Merlin (Eugene) Millard of Illinois. Also
surviving are two nieces, Kathy (Randy) Stueve of IL and
Sally (Ken) Maubach of IL; four nephews, David (Kathy) Millard
of Illinois, Ray Millard of Iowa, Bill and Chris Torre,
both of CA. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lee and
Dorothy. Ed was employed for many years with Community Vault
Company. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and
was honorably discharged in 1946.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.
Saturday, March 29, 2008, in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main
St., with a visitation one hour prior to services.
