MISHAWAKA - Jessie ''June'' Brooks, 90, of Countryside Place, formerly of 24th Street, died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday in the nursing home of natural causes. Mrs. Brooks was born July 31, 1904, in Erie, Pa., and was a lifelong area resident.

On April 9, 1925, in St. Joseph, as June Smith, she married George F. Brooks. He died Sept. 24, 1978. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy J. Weis of Michigan City; two granddaughters, Valerie Ramos of Valparaiso and Stacey Weis of Michigan City; and four great-grandchildren. She was a member of American Legion Post 303 Auxiliary, South Bend.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call two hours before services Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
