MISHAWAKA - Marguerite J. Brockhaus, 85, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, formerly of Sixth Street, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday in the nursing home. Mrs. Brockhaus retired in 1973 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. after 46 years of service. She was born Dec. 1, 1909, in Mishawaka.

On Jan. 11, 1941, in Mishawaka, as Marguerite Graveel, she married Ralph Brockhaus. He died March 20, 1969. She is survived by a sister, Genevieve ''Toots'' Thieren of Mishawaka; five nieces, Margaret A. Bicket, Barbara Bauters and Patty Graveel, all of Mishawaka, Susan Merz of Florissant, Mo., and Mary Ann Hopkins of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three nephews, Michael Graveel of Scotts, Mich., James Graveel of Elgin, Ill., and John Graveel of Brookston, Ind. She was a member of B.K. Club Auxiliary and St. Bavo's Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Hahn Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bavo's School.
