Paul Britton
Paul Britton, 83, of 302 E. Borley, died at
4:45 p.m. Thursday in the Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend,
shortly after being admitted. He was born on Sept. 5, 1892,
in Penn, Mich., and lived here almost all his life, coming from
Penn as a boy. He retired in 1958 from the international
Harvester Co. in Fort Wayne after 25 years of employment. He
married Donnabelle W. Bickel on July 2, 1921, in St.
Joseph, Mich. She died Nov. 11, 1967.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Miss Dorothy
Bickel, with whom he lived and two-nieces, Mrs. Peter Gerich of
Chicago and Mrs. James Terkos of Mishawaka. Friends may
call from 5 to 9 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, where
services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday by Rev. Albert W.
Farmer, interim pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial
will be in the Mishawaka City Cememtery. Britton was a
member of the First Christian Church, American Legion Post 161
and Post 360, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of
World War II.
