MISHAWAKA - Earl L. Brinson, 80, of Mishawaka, passed away
on Monday, May 26, 2008, in his residence. Earl was born on
October 26, 1927, in South Bend, to Frank and Ester (Bland)
Brinson, who have both preceded him in death.
Earl married the former Virginia Halliburton
on December 21, 1957, in Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ
in Osceola. Earl and Virginia shared 51 years of trust and
commitment to each other. Earl is survived by his wife, Virginia,
and their five children, Bonnie (Gary) Young and Donna
(Kirk) Banacka, both from North Carolina, Marylee (Pedro) Hernandez
of Mexico, Cheryl Kellett of Lake City, FL, and Allan
Kellett. Earl was a loving and caring grandfather to 11
grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a former
daughter-in-law, Maggie (Sam) Noe of Missouri. Three
sisters and one brother preceded Earl in death. Earl retired in
1987 from the Bendix Corporation after 38 years of service. Earl
was a faithful member of the Pleasant Valley United Church of
Christ for over 50 years, and his wife Virginia still attends the
church. Earl belonged to the Eagles Lodge of Mishawaka. He
enjoyed gardening, fishing, and purchasing a new car every two
years.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8
p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel,
Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with
one hour visitation prior on Friday, May 30th, in Pleasant Valley
United Church of Christ, 10955 Edison Road, Osceola, IN, with the
Rev Dr. Sam Boys officiating. Entombment will follow at the
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. The family requested in
lieu flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Pleasant
Valley United Church of Christ; or to Hospice & Palliative
Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
