Dolores A. Bright

SOUTH BEND - Dolores A. Bright, 74, of Regency Place,
formerly of Sorin Street, passed away after an extended illness
at 4:22 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008, in Regency Place of
South Bend. Dolores was born March 14, 1933, in Ft. Wayne, IN, to
the late Morris and Elizabeth (Gallogly) Marks.
On August 14, 1954, in Bourbon, IN, Dolores
married Robert J. Bright, who preceded her in death on November
11, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael
Marks. Dolores is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Dick) Grossnickle
of Mishawaka, Carol J. Foster and Roman Dickt
of Plymouth; four sons, Robert J. (Janice) Bright Jr. of South
Bend, Richard L. Bright of Mishawaka, Ronald M. Bright and
Randall J. Bright, both of South Bend; 13 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Redman of Plymouth;
and two brothers, George and Robert Marks, both of Florida.
Dolores was a Tippecanoe High School
graduate, and went on to obtain her LPN nursing degree from Ivy
Tech. She last worked at Fountainview Nursing Home for 10 years.
Dolores was a very active member of the "Order of Eastern
Star" Chapter #2 of South Bend, and was a former member of
Timberland Bible Church.
There will be no visitation or services.
Cremation will take place at Welsheimer Crematory. Memorial
contributions may be made in Dolores' name to Southern Care
Hospice, 310 West McKinley, Suite 340, Mishawaka, IN 46545; or to
Regency Place of South Bend, 52654 N. Ironwood Road, South Bend,
IN 46635.
