Mary Helen Bridgewater, 76, of Walkerton Miller's Merry Manor passed away at 5:28 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, after an extended illness. She was formerly employed at the Enro Shirt Company in South Bend, Ind., and retired after 17 years of service. She was born July 8, 1926, in Loogootee, Ind., and was a former North Liberty, Ind., resident.

She was married to William H. Bridgewater on Aug. 11, 1945, in Loogootee. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1988. She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Bridgewater of Crown Point, Ind.: a son, John L. of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; a sister, Pearl Snyder of Elkhart, Ind.; two brothers, Walter Harris of South Bend and Eugene Harris of North Liberty; and by six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, in the A. m. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, officiated by Thomas Short, asst. Pastor of the North Liberty Church of Christ. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. today in the funeral home
