SOUTH BEND - Robert Bridgeford, 79, of Regency Place, formerly of Fox Street, died at 2:50 p.m. Friday in the nursing home. Mr. Bridgeford retired in 1980 from American City Bureau as a fund-raiser, after 20 years of service. He was born Dec. 29, 1914, in St. Mary's, Ohio, living here since 1924, coming from St. Mary's.

Surviving are a niece, Bronwyn Stoner of South Bend, and a nephew, Bryan Bridgeford of Cincinnati. He was a past president of Camp Eberhart Board of Directors, YMCA.

Private burial will be Monday in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. There will be no visitaiton. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Camp Eberhart. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
