SOUTH BEND - Gladys C. ''Bobbie'' Brewer, 85, of Manchester Drive, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Community Hospital. Mrs. Brewer retired in 1973 from Martin's Supermarket. She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Potter Hill, R.I.

Surviving are two daughters, Inez Bridges of Mishawaka and Betty June Kowalik of Homosassa Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Delores Dean, died in 1965.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call one hour before services in the funeral home.
