Paul E. Brenneman
Paul E. Brenneman, 82, of Osceola, passed away at 6:40 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2006, in Elkhart General Hospital. Paul was born on August 18, 1924, in Wakarusa, to the late Edward and Nellie (Kehr) Brenneman.
On June 29, 1950, he married the former
Beverly R. Miller in Washington, IN. Paul is survived by
his loving wife, Beverly of Osceola; daughter, Paula (Dave) Teegardin
of Osceola; and sons, Chris (Elizabeth) Brenneman of Osceola and
Tom (Kasey) Brenneman of Osceola; and 11 grandchildren, Erin,
Anna, Mike, Grace, Lyla, John, Ashley, Jessica, Brittany, Jordan
and Tommy. He is also survived by one sister, Evelyn Geerts
of Battle Creek, MI, and several nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three
sisters.
Paul proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air
Force. He taught at P.H.M. Schools for 32 years before retiring
in 1987. He was the athletic director and coach for many years at
Grissom Middle School. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic
Church, Knights of Columbus #8617, and American Legion Post 307,
Wakarusa. He was a Notre Dame basketball fan. He will be best
remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who
enjoyed spending time with his family.
Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday,
December 4, 2006, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley
Highway, Osceola, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Mass
of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5,
2006, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road,
Mishawaka, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev.
Richard Hire will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
