John E. Breen

NORTH LIBERTY - Memorial services for John E. Breen, 71, of Indiana 4, who died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday in his home, will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 in Sacred Heart Basilica. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. McGann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mr. Breen retired from General Aviation, Lansing, as accountant controller and was a former employee of Global Communications, Williamston, Mich. He was born June 4, 1924, in Beaver Falls, Pa., and lived in South Bend for two months. He is survived by three sons, Patrick L. of Elkhart, Michael J. of St. Joseph, and Kenneth L. of North Liberty; five grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Daly of Bronx, N.Y.

He was a Army veteran of World War II, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he was head manager for the 1943 national championship football team.
