Tressie Lee Brawley, 81, of Millers
Merry Manor, Wakarusa, formerly of Osceola, Ind. passed away at
the Nursing Center at 3:25 p.m. on July 1. She was born on Aug.
22, 1914 in Glencoe, Ark.
On Feb. 2, 1935, in Hardy, Ark. as Tressie Southard,
she married Spelman Pinkney Brawley, who preceded her in death
Nov. 7, 1967. She is survived by two daughters, Florence Livermore
of South Bend, Ind. and Hilda Brawley of Elkhart, Ind. and
three sons, Spelman P. Jr. of Waianao Hawaii, Jimmie L. of
Osceola, Ind. and William H. of Elkhart, Ind.; thirteen
grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gwen
Cozort of West Plains, Mo. and Maxine Lundy of West
Haven, Mo., two brothers, Orby Southard of Dellonogia, Ga., and
Bert Southard of Pine Bluff, Ark.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on
Friday, July 5, 1996, at the Warner Funeral Home in Osceola, Ind.
where funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 1996, at
10 a.m. with burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brawley
was a member of Mishawaka Church of Christ, Current Road, and had
been employed by Woodland Element-ary School from 1969 to 1976 in
Food Service.
