LAKEVILLE - Mary Alice Bragg, 82, of Lakeville, passed
away at 7:28 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008, in her home. Mrs.
Bragg was born on December 24, 1925, in Marion, IN, to the late
Everett and Tressie Marie (Oden) Long. She had
lived in Lakeville since 1970, moving from North Manchester, IN.
On March 12, 1943, in Marion, IN, she
married Ira Bragg Jr., who preceded her in death on April 3,
1971. Two sisters, Velma Heighway and Clara Mae McDaniel,
one brother, William Long, and a great-grandson, Aiden Bragg, all
preceded her in death. Mrs. Bragg retired in 2001 after 30 years
of employment as a waitress at Jack's Bar in Lakeville. She
attended the Trinity Evangelical Free Church, South Bend. Mrs.
Bragg is survived by three daughters, Randa (Dan) Cox of
Lakeville, Rebecca Dannacher of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and
Rita (Jimmy) Goff of Wakarusa, IN; four sons, Galen (Judy)
Bragg, Ira (Rosana Balmer) Bragg III and Gary (Lisa) Bragg, all
of Lakeville, and Shawn Bragg of Atlanta, GA; 14 grandchildren,
Bob Bragg, Chris Bragg, Gavin Beach, Crystal Bragg, Caleb
Bragg, Nick (Carlea Howard) Bragg, Brandon (Danielle) Bragg, Nate
(Molly Briggs) Bragg, Anthony Bragg, Austin Bragg, Mary Goff,
Noah Goff, Danny Cox and Alice Cox; and four great-grandchildren,
Billy Bragg, A.J. Bowman, Isaac Bragg and Aubrey Bragg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Saturday, May 31, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan
Street, Lakeville. Rev. Edward Bragg will officiate. Graveside
services and burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery,
Sweetser, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m.
on Friday, May 30th, in the funeral home. Contributions in memory
