GRANGER - Claud L. Brady, 80, of Saddlehorn Court, Granger, Ind., died on Wednesday, Jan. 28, after an extended illness. Mr. Brady was born on July 1, 1917, in Sunfield, Mich., to Archie and Mattie (Robbins) Brady.
On Aug. 17, 1944, in Kerkrade, Netherlands, he married the former Tina Heckmanns, who survives.
Coming from Sturgis, Mich., in 1983, Mr. Brady was a supervisor with Motor Wheel-Duotherm for 40 years before retiring in Granger. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is also survived by two daughters, Anneliese M. Foti and her husband, Theodore J. of Elkhart, Ind., and Claudia M. Brady of South Bend, Ind.; a granddaughter, Tonya C. Brady; and by two great-grandsons, Taylor W. Brady and Hunter A. Brady. Mr. Brady was preceded in death by a son, Eugene J. Brady; four sisters, Bernice Decker, Lelia Wakely, Gladys Ovenhouse and Gertrude Baker; and by three brothers, Kenneth, Vivion and Raymond.
Friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday in Hickey Funeral Homes, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Pius X Catholic Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
