SOUTH BEND - Troy L. Bradberry, 75, residing in South
Bend, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, in St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center, after suffering a heart attack on
Tuesday. He was born December 31, 1932 in McRay, Arkansas to
Thomas J. & Effie (Pratt) Bradberry, and has lived in
South Bend since 1952, coming from Arkansas.
On October 14, 1952 in Augusta, Arkansas, he
was united in marriage to Cleo M. "Kitty" Stroud.
His loving wife Kitty of fifty-five years survives him. Also
surviving are his five children, Thomas Lamar Bradberry,
Charlotte Lynn (David) Skeen, Dale (Patricia) Bradberry,
Judy Diane Steinback, and Tina (Jerry) VanDusen,
all of South Bend. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Kasey Handover,
Kaley Steinback, Shawn Fournier, Krystal Skeen, Derek
Skeen, Dustin VanDusen, Angel VanDusen, Shannon Bradberry, and
Brendan Dale Bradberry, and one great-granddaughter, Noel
Handover; three sisters, Selma P. Grubbs and Nellie M. Eggers
both of South Bend, and Glenda Bea (Mike) Spirto of
Elkhart; two brothers, W. J. "Bill" Bradberry, of South
Bend and Dean P. (Kappy) Bradberry of Osceola, survive Troy as
well. Two brothers, Earl & James Bradberry, preceded him in
death. Mr. Bradberry retired in 1996 from Allied-Signal Corp. as
a painter following thirty years of employment. He was a very
loving and giving person to all he knew.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday,
March 8, in Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South
Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Bill Howell will officiate.
Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the
funeral home. Contributions in memory of Mr. Bradberry may be
offered to Hepatitis Research Foundation, 553 Salt Point
Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601.
