Nathan S. Boyer

November 18, 1918 – November 16, 1970

Nathan S. Boyer, 51, of 926 E Bowman St., died at 10:45pm Monday in Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.  He retired from the Oliver Corp and operated the Boyco Pet Stores in South Bend and Mishawaka for 12 years.

Born November 18, 1918 in St Louis MI, he lived in this area most of his life.  On September 8, 1938, in South Bend, he married Gertrude H. Miller, who died in January 1970.

Surviving are a son, Merle W. Boyer; a daughter Mrs. Sandra Hayword, both of South Bend; three grandchildren, a brother, Harry of Laguna beach CA, and a sister, Mrs. Wilma Bauer of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7pm today in the Orvis Palmer Funeral Home until the services at 3pm Wednesday.  Rev. Jack O. Burrell, pastor, of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
