Genevieve Boyan, 73, Michigan City, died at 1:40 a.m. today
(Sept. 2, 1987) at St. Anthony Hospital. The funeral will be at
10 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be in St.
Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. tomorrow
and until 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will recite the
rosary at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The parish
rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, also at the funeral
home. Mrs. Boyan was born Oct. 2, 1913, in Michigan City, the
daughter of Alex and Pauline Dobeski Urban. On Sept. 27, 1933, in
Michigan City, she married Stanley Boyan, who died June 15, 1970.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Lyster, Michigan City, and
Norma Jean Kaplan, Fort Wayne, Ind.; seven grandchildren; a
great-grandchild; a brother Richard Urban, Michigan City; and
five sisters, Ann Schmidt, Florence Sobkowiak, Dorothy
Losiniecki, and Alice Bogoslawski, all of Michigan City, and
Henrietta Foldenauer, South Bend. A brother, Anthony Urban, is
deceased. Mrs. Boyan was a retired homemaker. She was a member of
St. Stanislaus Church and the Rosary Sodality of the church.
