SOUTH BEND - Services for Vincent L. Bowens, 28, of 912 Oak St., who died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday of a gunshot wound suffered about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday in his home, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Alford's Mortuary. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Mr. Bowens was employed by Industrial Fuels & Resources. He was born Oct. 10, 1965, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by a daughter, Tamara R. Bowens of South Bend; his parents, Helen Woodard and Mozell Bowens, both of South Bend; three sisters, Arnita Riley of Kosciusko, Miss., Renee DeSayles-Martinez of Champaign, Ill., and Cannie O. Phillips of South Bend; and a brother, Arthur of South Bend. He was a member of Yahweh Temple of Yahweh, Niles.
