Steven D. Bouwman, 46, of Eastbrook Drive, South Bend, Ind., died of an apparent heart attack, on Thursday, April 15. Steven was born on Nov. 26, 1952, in Holland, Mich., to Dale and Bernadette (Hunt) Bouwman.

On April 3, 1999 in Elkhart, Indiana, he married Barbara McGee, who survives. He is also survived by his parents, Dale and Bernadette Bouwman of Elkhart; two stepdaughters, Tracy Ford and Aaron Krawczyk, both of South Bend; a sister, Debbie Godfrey of Elkhart; a brother, Kevin Bouwman of White Pigeon, Mich.; a nephew, Trinity Godfrey of Morristown, Tenn.; and by a step-grandson, Zachery Krawczyk of South Bend. Steven was active in Community and at Heraeus Kulzer, where he was employed.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 19, at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Ron Fetter will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Highland Mausoleum.
