CHICAGO - Jeffrey Todd Bottorff died on Thursday, August 5, in
his Chicago, Illinois, home after a brief illness. Jeff, 47, a
marketing specialist, worked for the Obama Indiana campaign in
2008 and was employed at Market Fax, Inc., for more than 15
years. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Northwestern
University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1985. He was a
National High School Merit Scholar and a member of the swim team
at Mishawaka High School, graduating in 1981. He will be fondly
remembered by friends and family for his ready willingness to
help others, his dedication to numerous charities and political
organizations, as well as his encyclopedic knowledge, quick
intelligence and rapier wit. He is survived by his loving mother
and father, Sheila and Richard Bottorff of Stevensville,
Michigan; his two brothers, James Bottorff and David Bottorff,
both of Chicago; and his sister, Laura Preston, also of
Stevensville. Jeff is also survived by his nephews, Anthony
Preston and Jacob Bottorff, and his niece, Alexandra Preston. A
funeral service will be held in Mishawaka. For details, contact
