SOUTH BEND - Paul J. Botka, 45, of Burr Oak Drive, died at 4:03 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Botka was a former customer representative for Sprint Cellular and was a former employee of Gilbert's Men's Clothing store for 17 years. He was born May 15, 1950, in South Bend.

On June 4, 1988, in South Bend, he married Barbara M. Beke. She survives with his mother, Margaret Botka of South Bend; and a sister, Patricia Campbell of Lexington, Ohio. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Muscular Dystrophy Association, was a singer/drummer for 26 years for New Creation Band, and was a graduate of Bethel College.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart or Muscular Dystrophy association.
