Palmyra Harriet Botka of South Bend
passed away Monday, December 19, 2005, in her home at the age of
86. She was born March 1, 1919, in South Bend, to Frank and Mary
(Rosiejiewski) Mrowczynski, and had lived in South
Bend most of her life.
On January 11, 1984, in Crown Point, IN, she
married Louis Botka, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1991.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Matthew and
Edward Mrowczynski.
She retired in the early 1970s following 25
years of service at St. Joseph Bank & American Bank &
Trust Company.
Mrs. Botka is survived by three daughters,
Janice (Todd) Putz of South Bend, Barbara Skarbek
of Bristol, IN, and Dolores Wcisel of Flossmoor, IL. Also
surviving are nine grandchildren, Richard Stevens, Jay
(Sandra) Stevens, Greg (Jody) Wcisel, John (Karla) Wcisel, Paul
(Susan) Wcisel, Laura (Rich) Bellis, Todd (Bernadette)
Putz, Kenneth (Lisa) Putz and David (Jennifer) Putz, 19
great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Sieczko of South
Bend; and three brothers, Ted Morrow of Los Angeles, CA, Frank
Morrow of South Bend and Alfonse Mrowczynski of South Bend.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00
p.m. Friday, December 23, in Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger
Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street. Rev. Ed Erskin will
officiate. Cremation will take place at Southlawn Cremation
Services and burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Highland,
IN. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services
Friday in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel. Contributions
in memory of Mrs. Botka may be made to the charity of donor's
choice.
