SOUTH BEND - Anthony L. Boros, 76, of Bayswater Place, formerly of 2003 S. Carlisle St., died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Boros retired in 1981 from Raco Inc. He was born Sept. 22, 1917, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On July 5, 1943, in South Bend, he married Gizella I. Racz. She died July 7, 1993. He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Labis of South Bend; a son, Anthony G. of San Antonio, Texas; a grandchild; and a brother, Joseph of Spokane, Wash. He was a veteran of World War II; a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8748, St. Joseph's Mens Club, American Legion Post 284 and St. Hedwig Holy Name Society; and was former vice president of the Hungarian Democratic Club.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Jude's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Zahoran Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Catholic Church or Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
