Services for Brother Edward J. Bores CSC, 63, of Notre Dame High School, Sherman Oaks, Calif. who died at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Brother residence at Sherman Oaks, will be at 3:30 Wednesday in Holy Cross Junior College. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Notre Dame. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Holy Cross Brothers Center, where a wake service will be at 7:30 p.m.

He was born March 30, 1921 in Milwaukee and made his first vows of profession in August 1943. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 9147 and was assigned as a teacher at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, serving there from 1949 to 1959. He then taught at St. Francis High School at Mountain View, Calif. from 1959 to 1965, and St. Anthony’s High School in Long Beach, Calif. from 1965 until 1980. He then served with pastoral ministries until 1983 and returned to Notre Dame High school, until 1985. Surviving are two brothers, George of West Allis, Wis. and Jerry of Milwaukee.
