Thelma M. Borders

OSCEOLA - Thelma M. Borders, 75, of 104 E. Superior St., died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka.

Mrs. Borders was born June 30, 1920, in Nappanee. On July 5, 1944, in Winamac, as Thelma M. Whitehead, she married Leonard A. Borders. He died March 17, 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Binion, with whom she made her home, and Susan Caudill of Flippin, Ark.; a son, Richard L. of Logansport, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kathryn Scott of Fort Wayne, Reba Sandlin of Ligonier, and Maxine Ringenberg of Syracuse; and a brother, Tony Senff of Nappanee. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church, South Bend.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, and two hours before services Friday in the church.
