George A. Borden, 69, of 542 Calhoun St., a retired
supervisor at the Ball-Band plant, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday in
St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been ill for eight weeks.
Mr. Borden was born at Hudson Lake and came to Mishawaka in 1901.
He married Eldona Ort in Mishawaka,
June 19, 1912. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church;
Mishawaka Lodge 130, F. & A. M., and the Ball-Band Foreman's
Club. He retired from Ball-Band in 1955.
Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. J. D. Field,
of Chicago; a son, Robert Borden, of South Bend; three
granddaughters; five grandsons, and two sisters, Miss Alberta
Borden and Mrs. F. J. Kirkpatrick, both of this city, a
daughter, Mrs. Robert Cook, died June 6, 1956.
Friends may call in the Bent & Sprague Funeral Chapel after 7
p.m. Saturday and until the funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday in
St. Paul's Church. Rev. Wilbur B. Dexter, pastor, will officiate
and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

St., who died Thursday, will take place at 10 a.m. Monday in St.
Paul's Episcopal Church. Rev. Wilbur B. Dexter, pastor, will
officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may
call in the Bent & Sprague Chapel after 7 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be A. R. Klein, D. J. Metzler,
Harold J. Cook, Gerald N. Grove, Charles G. Anthony
and Fred Meyers.
