MISHAWAKA - Michael J. Bonjorno, 95, passed away on Saturday, August 21st, in Hospice House in South Bend. He was born on April 26, 1915, in South Bend, to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Riale) Bonjorno. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, five brothers and a brother-in-law, Lowell Spalding. On April 3, 1937, in South Bend, he married the former Lafern Miller, who also preceded him in death on December 16, 2004. Surviving is a sister, Rose Spalding of South Bend. He worked for Rockwell US Gypsum, and AM General from which he retired. A private family service will take place at a later time.
