Lafern M. Bonjorno

Lafern M. Bonjorno, 90, of W. 9th Street, Mishawaka, passed away at 4:15 a.m. in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, with her husband by her side. Lafern was born on April 20, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., to Emil and Blanche (Johnson) Miller, who both preceded her in death, along with a brother, Glenn Miller.

On April 3, 1937, in South Bend, as the former Lafern Miller, she married Michael J. Bonjorno, who survives. Lafern was a member of Christian Science and she enjoyed gardening. Lafern was a long time area resident, coming to Mishawaka in 1934. She was a loving, devoted wife and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Per her request, there will be no visitation and no services. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Contributions, to honor Lafern's life and memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 535 W. Edison, Unit #6, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
