SOUTH BEND - Isabelle Hadley BonDurant, 100, of Palm Beach,
formerly of South Bend, died June 30, 2010 in Palm Beach. Mrs.
BonDurant was born in Windfall, IN, the daughter of Edith
McCreary Hadley and Gordon Clayton Hadley. She graduated, with
distinction, from DePauw University in June of 1931 and in
September 1931 she married Robert E. BonDurant who predeceased
her in 2004. They lived in South Bend for 48 years where Mrs.
BonDurant was active in the Junior League of South Bend, The
Children's Dispensary and Epworth Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs.
BonDurant moved to Palm Beach in 1979 where for many years she
served on various committees for the Heart Ball. Mr. and Mrs.
BonDurant traveled extensively; her last trip was to Hong Kong
when she was 88! In addition, she was an avid bridge player and
golfer, and friend to many. In Palm Beach, she was a member of
the Everglades Club and the Sailfish Club. Mrs. BonDurant is
survived by two children: Mary Ann Hodgkins (Thomas D.) of Lake
Forest, IL and Robert H. BonDurant (Virginia) of Ponte Vedra
Beach, FL; six grandchildren: Marion H. Cappuccilli (Christopher)
of Lake Forest, IL, Susan H. Wick (Thomas) of Flossmoor, IL,
Katherine H. Steele (Brandon) of Glendale, AZ, Thomas S. Hodgkins
(Debra) of Lake Bluff, IL, Robert H. BonDurant, Jr. (Amy) of
Santa Barbara, CA and Carolyn B. Wauk (Harold) of Reston, VA. She
is also survived by ten great grandchildren. A Committal Service
for Mrs. BonDurant will be held on Saturday, July 17th at 10:00
am at The Royal Poinciana Chapel Columbarium, 60 Coconut Row,
Palm Beach, FL. Memorial contributions in Mrs. BonDurant's name
may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue
West Palm Beach, FL 33409 or to The Royal Poinciana Chapel.
