MISHAWAKA - Lawrence Edward
"Ed" Bolin, 75, died in his residence on Sunday,
April 20, 2008. On December 18, 1932, in Mishawaka, he was born
as the son of Lawrence and Bessie (Becraft) Bolin. He was
preceded in death by his parents.
On September 12, 1953, he married Nancy Cather,
who preceded him in death on November 27, 1985. On December 28,
1986, in Mishawaka, he married Connie Gooding Cather.
Surviving Ed are his wife, Connie; three children, Kim (Neal
Corman) Cordill of Chicago, IL, Greg (Marsha) Bolin of
South Bend and Julie (Randy) Joers of Granger; two
stepchildren, Chris (Jim) Scott of West Lafayette, IN, and
Curt (Kim) Cather of Osceola; 11 grandchildren, Lindsay, Lucas,
Taylor and Corrie Bolin, RJ and Katie Joers, Samantha, Sydney and
Brittney Scott, Kirsten and Kyle Cather; a brother, Ray (Mary
Ann) Bolin of Nashville, IN; a sister, Phylliss (Joe) Oblinger
of South Bend; and a cousin, Dick Love of Mishawaka. Ed
worked for Kuert Concrete as a heavy equipment operator for 43
years before he retired in 1995. He was a member of Coalbush
United Methodist Church, Club 15 in Mishawaka, the Penn South
Fire Department, Retired Operating Engineers, Mishawaka Alumni
Association and the American Legion in Osceola. He was also a
member of Penn Boosters and Mishawaka Fast Pitch Softball.
Family and friends may visit today, Tuesday,
April 22, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home,
505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at
11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior in the church on
Wednesday, April 23, in Coalbush United Methodist Church,
Mishawaka, with Rev. Jim Davidson officiating. Burial will be at
Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made
