Rev. William A. Bolger CSC, 75, a former professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame, died Saturday morning in the community infirmary on the campus. He was born Oct. 31, 1875 in Grand Rapids, Mich., and entered the seminary Oct. 27, 1902. He was ordained into the order June 30, 1911. For many years after his ordination he taught at the University of Notre Dame. Then for a few years he was a member of the mission band at Notre Dame. Next he served as chaplain of the sisters at St. Mary’s convent. For the last few years he has been in retirement because of ill health.

 

Friends may call in Corby Hall Chapel at Notre Dame after noon Monday. At 8 a.m. Tuesday the Office of the Dead will be recited in Sacred Heart Church on the campus. The celebrant of the mass will be his cousin, Most Rev. Charles White, bishop of the Spokane, Wash. Diocese. Another cousin, Rev. Thomas Bolger of Shepherd, Mich. will be the deacon.
