Catherine A. Bolger, 74, residing on
East Washington Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 10:55
a.m. on Monday, April 6, in her home. Mrs. Bolger was a former
employee of Associates Investment Company, and retired from the
Dodge Manufacturing Company where she served as a keypunch
operator. She was born on June 12, 1923, in South Bend, to the
late Fred Arthur and Bernice Herreman, and had lived in
this community most of her life. She was also preceded in death
by a sister, Virginia Herreman Bell; and by a brother,
Robert Asa Herreman. On Sept. 7, 1963, in South Bend, she married
Paul V. Bolger, who survives. She is also survived by three sons,
John Schall of Niles, Mich., David Schall of Mishawaka,
Ind., and Mark Schall of North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Vicki
Fritz and Paula Moore, both of South Bend; a
stepson, Paul V. Bolger, Jr., of South Bend; eight grandchildren;
and by a brother, Fred Arthur Herreman of Edwardsburg, Mich. Mrs.
Bolger was a member of the Church of God- Full Gospel, Niles,
Mich.; sang in the Philharmonic Singers; was a soloist at St.
James Episcopal Church, South Bend; was a member of the
Studebaker Men and Women's Glee Clubs; and was a supporter of
Right to Life. She had also won a Hollywood Allen Jones Contest.
Services for Mrs. Catherine Bolger will be
held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 10, in the Palmer Funeral Home,
2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Morton J. Hempel will
officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may
call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Palmer Funeral Home.
