Mrs. Mary Florence Boland, 87, formerly of 1024 E. Napoleon, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Shoreham Terrace Nursing Home, Benton Harbor, Mich. A resident of South Bend for many years, she moved to Benton Harbor eight years ago to live with her son James F. Mrs. Boland was born on April 1, 1891 in South Bend. On Sept. 1, 1920 as Mary Couch she married James I. Boland who died on Nov. 24, 1957. Her son James F survives.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a lifelong member. Rev. Paul Wendel CSC, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friend may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hickey Funeral Home. Mrs. Boland was a member of the Altar Society of the church. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
