BEND - Casimir "Cas" Bogunia, 57, passed away 11
a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007, in his residence.
Casimir
was born on October 8, 1949, in Gary, Indiana, to Casimir
W. and Theresa (Jeziorski) Bogunia. He had been employed
by Allied Stamping for 32 years and by Curtis Products.
Cas loved to bowl, play horseshoes and the accordion. On February
14, 2001, in South Bend, he married Julia Opaczewski
(Piller), who survives. Also surviving are six sons, Mark
Bogunia, Todd Bogunia, Robert Bogunia, Philip (Crystal)
Opaczewski, and Andrew (Tara) Opaczewski, all of South
Bend and Sean (Rebecca) Bogunia of Niles; two daughters,
Tonya Bogunia and Corina (Steve) Martin, both of South
Bend; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Zeai, Joseph, Rachel,
Leileandra, Kiley and Cameron; a sister, Monica Bogunia
of South Bend; a brother, Thomas (Jodi) Bogunia of
Lakeville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday,
April 4, 2007, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and
friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Zahoran
Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a rosary will
be recited at 4:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be
