Gregory Bogoslawski, 74, Michigan City, died at 5:35 p.m.
Saturday (Nov. 4, 1995) at St. Anthony Hospital. The funeral will
be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Home, Michigan
City, Msgr. Michael Tomaszewski will officiate. Burial will be in
St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The American Legion Skwiat Post No. 451
will conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home, and will also conduct full military services Wednesday at
St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday and until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral
home. Mr. Bogoslawski was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Gary, the son of
Casimir and Caroline Budkowska Bogoslawski. On Oct. 25, 1941, in
Michigan City, he married Alice R. Urban, who survives. Also
surviving are three sons, Gregory A. (Rhonda) Bogoslawski, of
Columbia, Mo.; Richard J. (Mary Jo) Bogoslawski, of Upland,
Calif.; and Dale R. (Diane) Bogoslawski, of LaPorte; nine
grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one step
great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers and
three sisters. Mr. Bogoslawski was a brick mason, who worked for
43 years at U.S. Steel, Gary, before retiring in 1983. He was an
Army veteran of World War II and of the Korean conflict. He was a
member of St. Stanislaus Church, American Legion Skwiat Post No.
451, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 23, V.F.W. Post 2536, and
the Michigan City Fish and Game Club. He had lived in Michigan
City for 54 years, coming from Gary.
