Oct. 29, 1928 - June 29, 2010SOUTH BEND - Rose Mary Bognar, 81, passed away at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, in Hospice House. Rose Mary was born on October 29, 1928, in South Bend, to Joseph and Sarah (Mester) Herczeg. She was employed by Avon for 34 years. Rose Mary was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church and the Sacred Heart & Rosary Society where she was past president. On May 5, 1951, in South Bend, as Rose Mary Herczeg, she married William Bognar, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, James (Theresa) Bognar of Virginia Beach, VA, and Timothy (Sarah) Bognar of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Michael (Crystal) Bognar, Michelle Bognar, Danielle Bognar and Elizabeth Bognar; and her brother, Joseph (Viola) Herczeg of South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Cremation will follow with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
