GRANGER - Dora A. Boggs, 88, of Granger, IN, previous
resident of Indian Lake, Dowagiac, MI, passed away on Wednesday
in Arborwood Assisted Living, Granger. She was born on April 16,
1920, in South Bend, to the late Glenn and Stella (Grabacz)
Jacobs and was a lifelong area resident. On July 4, 1942,
she married Wilbur E. Boggs, who preceded her in death on June 2,
1990. She was also preceded in death by a son, Wilbur Jr.
"Pete" and by a daughter, Jone DeCook. She is
survived by her two sons, Mark (Gail) Boggs of Leesburg, IN and
Glenn Boggs of IL; 6 grandchildren, Beth (Ramiro) Gonzalez,
Shawn (Nicole) Fergison, Mark J. Boggs, Melissa (Kyle) Maciulski,
Jordan and Taylor Boggs; one great-grandchild, Ben Gonzalez; her
sister, Edna Radecki of Niles, MI; and her brother, Paul Jacobs
of Scottsdale, AZ. Mrs. Boggs worked as the head of Accounting in
the business office at Saint Mary's College, starting in November
1966, until retiring in September of 1987. She was a member of
the Indian Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Holy
Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, Dowagiac.
Visitation is from 2 to 5 PM Sunday,
November 9, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix
Drive, South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday
in Christ the King Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park, Granger,IN. Memorial contributions may be
