Mary A. Boehnlein

Mary A. Boehnlein, 89, of East Fourth Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, Dec. 6, in her residence.
Mary was born in Mishawaka on Oct. 21, 1913, to the late John and Pauline (Aman) Boehnlein. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Frances, Henry, Raymond, Edward and Fred.
Mary is survived by a sister, Helen Shaheen of Sturgis, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Mildred Boehnlein of Dayton, Ohio; and by many nieces and nephews.
Mary had worked at the former Standard Oil, then retired from the University of Notre Dame where she had worked in the personnel department. She was a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Mishawaka and the Rosary Society at the church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, in St. Joseph Church, Mishawaka, with Fr. Robert A. Yast officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County in memory of her brother Fred, who passed away this past May.
