SOUTH BEND - Services for Sister M. Anselma Boecking, CSC, 88, of Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent, who died at 12:10 a.m. Monday in her residence, were held today in Church of Loretto, Saint Mary's. Burial was in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Saint Mary's. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Ministry with the Poor Fund, Bertrand Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556.

Sister Boecking was born Georgia Bocking, on Feb. 22, 1907, in Grand Junction, Colo. She entered the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Cross on July 2, 1925; received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1926; and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1928. She was assigned to teaching in school primarily in the West, including Anderson, Ind., California, Utah, and retired in 1970.
