Frieda Marie Boatman, 74, of Tanglewood Trace, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, in Regency Place, South Bend, Ind. She was born on Dec. 9, 1924, in Lafayette, Ind., to Ruth (Death) and Robert Brewer, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Boatman is survived by a daughter, Mona M. Witt and her husband, David of Granger, Ind.; two grandsons, Reginald David and Michael Bryan Witt, both of Granger; and by a brother, Paul Brewer of Morrisville, Ind.

Mrs. Boatman was a bookkeeper for the Country Club of Indianapolis. She was a member of the Homemaker's Club, King's Daughters and the White Guild at the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Memorial services for Mrs. Boatman will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Cremation will take place with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, Ind. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 53631 Fir Road, Granger, IN 46530.
