Services for Rev. Glenn Boarman CSC, 64, who
died Saturday in Oakland, Calif., after an illness, will be at
3:30 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame with burial
in Community Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m.
Thursday in Corby Hall Chapel, Notre Dame.
He was vice officialis and Judge on the
Marriage Tribune for the diocese of Oakland as well as being
administrator of Sacred Heart Church in Oakland. He made his
first vows in the Holy Cross community Aug. 16, 1943. After his
ordination June 7, 1950 he served in a variety of ministries,
From 1953 to 1962 he taught at Notre Dame and was also prefect of
religion. He held the same positions at University of Portland
from 1962 to 1970. He served as a consultant to the speaker of
the California Assembly from 1972 to 1977, and then became
director of the Holy Cross community in the Bay area from 1978 to
1984. He was born June 16, 1922 in Springfield, Ill.
