Barbara Ann Blume, 54, of Mobile Boulevard, Niles, Mich., passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2nd, following an extended illness.
She was born on June 16, 1944, in South Bend, Ind., to Carl and Evelyn Buchmann, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Blume was a co-owner of Customized Hydraulic Training of Niles.
On Oct. 10, 1987, she married Nicholas Blume in Mishawaka, Ind. He survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Dawn (Russ) Brooks of Niles; a son, Brent Braunsdorf of Mishawaka; her stepsons, Michael Blume of Las Vegas, Nev., and David Blume of Marietta, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Lisa Blume of Elko, Minn., and Tracy Bielick of St. Frances, Minn.; three grandchildren, Nicole Brooks, Eric Brooks and Spencer Brooks, all of Niles; seven step-grandchildren; her sister, Margie Buchmann of Lakeworth, Fla.; and by a brother, Carl J. Buchmann of Mishawaka.
Services for Mrs. Blume will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 6th, at St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Susan Komen Cancer Foundation.
