Maxine Bloss

January 24, 1925 – March 18, 2007

MISHAWAKA – Maxine Bloss, 81, formerly of Cove Place, passed away in Elkhart General Hospital on Sunday, March 18^th, following a brief illness.

She was born in Michigan to Harold and Sadie (Powell) Yaw, who both preceded her in death.  She married Howard Bloss on February 8, 1941.  He died in 1993.  Mrs. Bloss is survived by her children, Howard E. (Lori) Bloss Jr. of Buchanan MI, Sandra (Jake) Rood of Elkhart IN, Patricia (Steve) Siefer of Niles MI and Douglas (Lori) Bloss of Granger IN.  Thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren also survive along with a sister, Wilma Knoblock of AZ, and two brothers, Jack Yaw of AZ and Lyle Yaw of Granger IN.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle David Bloss and a great grandson, Jacob DuVall.  Also preceding her in death were nine brothers & sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, March 22, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 3 to 7pm Wednesday.  Burial will follow the services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St Joseph County or to Mishawaka Grace Brethren Church.  Mrs. Bloss was a member of Mishawaka Grace Brethren Church and the VFW Post #360 Auxiliary of Mishawaka
