Benjamin F. Blasczyk, 59, of 1349 Woodbine Way, died at 6:30
p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital following a six-month illness.
He was employed at the Bendix Corp. for the last 19 years. He was
born on Aug. 5, 1918, in South Bend, where he lived his lifetime.
On Aug. 11, 1945, in South Bend, he married Ann. M. Cuzinski, who
survives. Also surviving are a step-father, Stanley Cencelewski
of South Bend; a son, Alan of Evansville; a daughter, Mrs. June
A. Bensley of South Bend, and a brother, Stanley of Lemon Grove,
Cal. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Blasczyk was a
veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion
Pulaski Post No. 357 and the Anchor Inn Conservation Club, of
which he was treasurer. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph A. Jacobs,
pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
